Daisy is a sweet pup, full of smiles, and with the unique look of a golden Labrador! Her mom is a Pyr, and dad a lab mix, so she inherited the short coat of a lab, with the softness of a Pyr. This lovely girl has average young dog energy, happily playing with her doggie pals or chasing after a ball, and then sitting quietly by herself to chew on a bone or toy. When her older foster sibling gets tired of her antics, Daisy will immediately become submissive and back off. She’s smart, and is learning quickly, working on basic commands and crate training - she already understands “no,” “leave it” and “drop it”! Daisy is such a good pup - she doesn’t nip or jump, and sleeps through the night. She has full run of the house and is non-destructive. She might join in when her Pyr foster sibling barks, but she does not initiate the sound-off. - She also behaves more like a lab in that she is very attentive, eager to please, and pays attention to requests. A few of her favorite things include: tummy rubs, cheese, yogurt, snuffle mats filled with treats, and chasing chipmunks, frogs and bugs! You can find this little lady outside romping in the grass, or inside taking a nap - she enjoys following her humans around, wherever that may be. Daisy welcomes visitors into the house, as they are new friends and can offer lots of pets! She loves getting attention and will crawl into her person’s lap for cuddles, or quietly lay next to you and fall asleep. Daisy will require a home with a secure fenced yard and a canine brother who she can look up to for advice and to help her learn the ropes and routine. She hopes her brother also has young-dog energy and would want to play with her! She will surely grow into an excellent and loyal dog. - Could it be with you?!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
