My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our beautiful girl Lady.  she is just 40 lbs and two years old.  she is so pretty with her tan, white and brown coloring and her white boots on each leg    She loes to snuggle when its time to relax at night but during the day enjoys her walks with her people and hanging outside.    She has the cutest little overbite which makes her more endearing.

Lady is good with other dogs and is currently in a foster home with them.  Sometimes she does play a little rough and the other dogs do not love it and she needs to be corrected but she is never aggressive to them..  We feel she would do best in a home without kitties, she seems  a bit too interested in them.   Lady is housebroken and will hold it forever and is also crate trained.   She would need a yard to run around and get her energy off.  She would do best in a home with no small kids due to her energy level.   We feel that if a child opened a door, she also may run out the door if given an opportunity.    Lady is nervous around loud noises and takes her a little while to get used to them.  She is also protective of her home and when new people come in, she will bark at them to let them know she is there and its her house too.

Lady is very sweet and loving.  She wants more than anything to be a good girl and make you happy.  She needs someone who is patient with her and willing to let her get comfortable in her new home.  She loves attention but on her terms.

If you would like more information about her, please fill out an application on our website.bcaaofnj.org

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
