My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is what my foster had to say: "Don't let her age fool you! Snuggles is a sweet little adventurer with a spunky personality who loves people. As a small, blind pooch, she is most comfortable by your side, whether watching TV on the couch or sitting outside feeling the breeze and listening to the birds sing. She enjoys car rides and loves to join you in a sling for your daily chores or errands. She also likes learning the lay of the land by exploring her environment on the ground, as long as her person is nearby. Because she cannot see, she is uncomfortable near any other animals and would do best as an only dog. If you are looking for a fun little companion and want to give this girl her best golden years, come see her today!"

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
