Hello friends, I'm Cozy! I am a friendly girl. I really enjoy having conversations with the hoomans. They do talk back to me, but I have no idea what they're saying... I am learning how to acclimate to this shelter life. I actually really enjoy pets and scratchies! I am really good at doing a ‘flop;' a flop is when I am super happy and I ‘flop' over on my back or side. I do this when I'm COZY; of course that's how I got my name! Call Helping Paws to meet me! We can cuddle together.

Fox Valley Helping Paws Animal Welfare Association, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, was founded in 1969. Helping Paws is a no-kill animal shelter for stray and abandoned dogs and cats in McHenry County and surrounding areas. The animals are provided a safe place where they receive medical care, spaying or neutering, daily care and love, and the opportunity to be adopted by a responsible owner.
