Mimzy is a 6 year old orange miss who was found as a stray. She was scared when she first joined us, but is slowly settling in, and finds comfort curling up in her litter box. And because most orange cats are male, Mimzy is extra special! She'll need a quiet home with an experienced owner who will give her plenty of time and TLC. If you think you have what it takes to help this little beauty be the best she can be, please stop by the VAO and ask to meet Mimzy.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.

Go meet their pets

Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning.
On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.

The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space.
We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
