Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Honey, a delightful six-month-old Gold Border Collie with a rare coat color recognized by the AKC. At her recent spay, she weighed in at 32 pounds, showcasing her healthy and growing nature.
Currently residing in a loving home alongside three cats and two other dogs, Honey has seamlessly integrated into her furry family. Her social skills shine as she gracefully waits her turn for treats and dinner, displaying admirable patience and manners.
We're diligently working on Honey's training, focusing on both verbal commands and hand signals. She's already mastering commands such as Sit (with an upward hand movement), Off (a wave away hand gesture), Stay (a hand held up straight), and more. With consistent practice and positive reinforcement, she's sure to excel in her training endeavors.
Honey's daily routine includes trips to the dog park with her canine companions, where she's steadily gaining confidence in her interactions with other dogs and people. While she initially experiences some anxiety around new individuals, particularly men and children, we're actively addressing this and helping her feel more at ease in different environments.
If you're interested in providing Honey with a forever home, I'd be more than happy to discuss her further and arrange a meet-and-greet. As space is limited at the shelter, it's likely she'll remain in our care until the perfect adopter comes along.
Thank you for considering Honey and for your support in finding her the loving home she deserves.
