Hello, I'm Baxter, currently available for adoption at Helping Paws along with my brother. While we may not look alike - he's tall with blue eyes, I'm shorter with brown eyes - we share the same sweetness. I'm a bit more reserved and take some time to warm up, preferring to observe my surroundings. Leash and collar are new to me, but I'm adapting. Fox Valley Helping Paws Animal Welfare Association, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, was founded in 1969. Helping Paws is a no-kill animal shelter for stray and abandoned dogs and cats in McHenry County and surrounding areas. The animals are provided a safe place where they receive medical care, spaying or neutering, daily care and love, and the opportunity to be adopted by a responsible owner.
