Take the Pet Home
This helps St. Sophia's Forgotten Felines with pet care costs.
Sassy was found one rainy morning on a kind samaritan's front steps, extremely thin and coated in some kind of dirty, oily substance. The good samaritan took her in and was happy to report that the vet said she was in great health and was already spayed, she did everything she could to locate Sassy's family, but sadly no one came forward so now she is looking for her own chance at a forever home.
She is terrified of other animals and will hiss/growl and be affected for days after. She will redirect with a swipe of the paw if she gets upset but doesn't draw blood. Other animals stress her out and she will overgroom and become reactive with humans too due to being stressed out if other animals are around. In a home where she can be the queen of the castle, you'll find she's not just sassy but sweet and sassy. She isn't a pushy lap cat but does like affection. She likes to be around her human and will gently paw at your hand to bring it down for a chin or head rub. She sleeps each night with her foster mom and is quite the little chatty Kathy. She is EXTREMELY food motivated, and will try to steal your meals, so if you're not prepared for dinner for two, a simple fix of putting her in another room during meal time easily manages the issue. Are you ready to be this adorable little lady's whole world?
Sassy is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites, and combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk. Her adoption fee is $125. For more information, please call or text 847-773-7639 or email info.stsff@gmail.com. Please note: We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within 3 days of applying.
