Meet Trixie! If you are looking for a sweet and loving dog, then this is the girl for you! She is a three-year-old Yorkie Terrier mix who weighs about 10 lbs. Trixie is a total cuddle bug who loves to be with her humans. She will follow you everywhere you go like an adorable shadow. Trixie is comfortable sleeping in her crate at night and relaxing on the couch with her humans during the day. She knows her commands, including sit, out, off, lay down, and is learning leave it. Trixie is great walking on a leash and is potty trained. She enjoys playing with toys by herself or with her humans. Trixie loves to say hello and goodbye to her humans and everyone she meets. She is good with kids, other dogs, or happy as your one and only. Cats, however, are not for her. So, if you are looking for an enthusiastic love bug - get your application in today for Trixie!

Additional adoption info

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
