Meet Chewy: Chewy is estimated to be about a 6 month old (as of May 2024) husky mix (best guess) that weighs 49 pounds - the vet does not expect him to get much larger. Chewy was dropped off on the side of the road and made his way to the home of a rescuer - what a lucky pick! The rescuer has tried to find his owner and no one has responded. Chewy is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chewy is such a sweet little dog! He gets along with the 3 big dogs and cat at his foster home. Chewy is super friendly and not afraid of anyone at all. Chewy loves attention and to be brushed. Chewy loves to eat and will grab whatever food he has access to. He has gotten better with time at his foster home and learning that his next meal is guaranteed. Chewy spends his time outdoors at his foster home and doesn’t leave the yard. We would love for him to have a fenced in yard, but it is not a requirement. With Chewy spending time outside, we are unsure of his house training status. He shows interest to come inside; we believe he’s going to make a great family pet! Chewy is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you are interested in adopting this super sweet guy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
