Erica is am lovely torbie, who recently gave birth. She has now been spayed, however, so her mothering days are over. Her foster says, "“we’ve been calling her "Momma.” She loves people. She loves love. She has the world’s best slow blink to let you know how friendly she is. Very into catnip in all forms, she doesn’t discriminate. She knows the sound of a treat bag and comes running. She is talkative and will carry on sweet little conversations with you. She loves exploring and doesn’t seem put off by other cats. A slow moving dog that mostly ignores her would probably be okay too.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
