Hello, my name is Zeus and I am being fostered in Milwaukie, Oregon but my story began in E.Texas where a good Samaritan vet office employee found me as a stray 3-4 month old puppy. The nice people at the vet's office kept me in a kennel inside their practice. They were good to me and did the best they could for me in a state that is overrun with dumped domesticated pets and indiscriminate breeding.
I was walked to go potty but didn't have a yard to run and play in so I'm now making up for lost time at my foster's home!
I am a lanky, tall German Shepherd mix aka a TEXAS SPECIAL and boy am I smart and in tune with my caregiver/foster!
I am roughly 11 months old, around 52 lbs (I'm a skinny fella) neutered and fully vetted as well as microchipped.
I know "Come Zeus", "find it" and am good at listening when I'm exploring something humans don't want me to grab with "leave it". I am learning "off" and love to run, play with toys, give and get affection and I love throwing my head back, staring at the sky and clouds and loving experiencing so many new things! I love getting snacks/treats from a wobbly treat-dispensing toy as well as find food inside puzzle toys and know "TOUCH".
I do great in a large kennel and am about 80% potty trained!
I will make a wonderful family pet and I love other dogs AND people.
My best pairing may be with a younger, larger playful female who can be my pal and mentor but there are other possibilities as I seem to really want to have both doggy AND human friends.

We'll provide contact info for the foster family currently housing the dog you'd like to meet. You can setup a time for everyone to meet!
