If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Envy is a sweetheart but does not really like strangers. She does have fear aggression but calms down after she is in a strangers presence for a while. Patience and calmness is key to get her to relax. She has never had a bad experience with a person, she is just unsure of new people. The family member who had her was a recluse and she really never spent time outside the home or her backyard. She does not bark at neighbors or mailmen that she sees daily but new faces are scary to her. She has never attacked or bitten anyone but will bark at strangers. Envy really needs someone who will take the time to help her get over her fears of strangers. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to help her ourselves or we would definitely not let her go. We love her immensely. Other than barking at strangers she never barks or whines. She is a quiet calm dog for the most part until she goes outside and then she is a ball of fun. She loves car rides and cuddling w/ anyone who will cuddle with her.
