My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our girl Poppy is a beautiful 7-8 month old girl that looks to be an Australian Shepherd and maybe mixed with Bernese Mountain Dog.   What a beauty this girl is and so well behaved for a young pup that was discarded and auctioned off at a farm animal auction. She is currently 30-35 pounds and destined to be a 45-50 pound girl when fully grown.  This girl has not had the best start from what we can tell but what amazes us is that she knows how to walk obediently on a leash like she was trained for it.  She knows some house manners and she is very easily corrected. This gem of a puppy will be a treasure to adopt as a family companion.  She is very easy going and calm and great with other dogs of all sizes and ages, cats and kittens are no big deal for her and she is good riding in a car.  She is around young children and adores them.   We cannot say that she is housebroken because we actually took her from an outside pen that was not the cleanest and had only a dog house with no tarp or top. She has endured some heavy rain and weather that has had tornado winds and lightning.  She has remained a great puppy despite all the scary situations the past few months.  We will require a fenced yard, someone that has time to train her and not crate her for 9 hours daily.    She is long furred and probably still growing into a delightful freckle faced beauty.  If you want to make this girl yours for a lifetime then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
