My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Black Hawk, a mature DLH black tabby male born around April 22, 2017. My life before Wild Blue had been quite sheltered, surrounded by many other cats in a small 1-BDRM apartment, with not much human interaction. Because of this, I can be quite timid and easily startled in new situations. I was recently shaved to relieve some uncomfortable matting, so I might look a bit less fluffy than usual, but I'm still just as handsome, and my fur will soon be lush again. Though I am sweet and gentle at heart, my shyness around new human friends means I need a bit of extra time and patience to warm up. I do best with slow introductions, allowing me to feel safe and secure as I adjust to new environments and people. I am slowly coming out of my shell allowing gentle pets and brushing. My comfort with touch is slowly increasing. I'm looking for a home with an experienced cat owner who understands the quiet time and gentle approach needed to build trust with a cat like me. I think kids and dogs might be too much excitement for me at this time. If you have a calm home and a heart big enough to give me the love and patience I need to help me learn how wonderful human companionship can be, we might just be the perfect match. If you would like to meet me, please will out an application online at www.wbcats.org/adopt.June 15, 2024, 8:49 pm
