My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Words fail to capture how absolutely precious Zeus Caboose is. He is affectionate, friendly, hilarious, and smart. Zeus cuddles and plays with the same intensity. At first, his fur-siblings were not on board with the new addition in their home but Zeus was not accepting that. He continued to charm them until they loved him (which, of course, they do!). He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, but likes to play rough so someone his size is best so no one gets hurt. All social outings (including the vet!) have been wildly successful. He's leaving a string of Zeus obsessed persons in his path. We have not been around any children yet, so it is not clear how he would do with them. His affection still comes in bursts (often accompanied by nose boops and a body tackle) which would need to be considered in his new home. His training has been going well. Zeus knows his name, come, sit, and leave it (for the most part). He is an adventurer at heart and needs to have extra caution when outside that he cannot sneak through spaces or leap over fences (he may be part kangaroo). A secure 5 foot fence or higher is definitely a must for this guy! We are still working on potty training but he is beginning to tell us when he has to go (even overnight) which is a huge improvement! Grooming has also come very naturally to him. He allows his teeth to be brushed and nails clipped. His "wiggle butt syndrome" does make the bath and brushing a bit more of an adventure. Zeus does announce his presence when he is playing, around other pups, and when he is not pleased. I would not classify him as an excessive barker, but it cannot be ignored while occurring. He does not like being without his foster mom and would do best somewhere he can have consistent attention. Zeus will be an amazing addition to the right home and his foster mom and siblings will have a very hard time saying goodbye. 15/10 recommend. 15/10 love him. To adopt Zeus, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, and all the love you can handle!

Go meet their pets

Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found. This means all approved applicants will need to make an appointment with the foster pawrents to meet their potential new pet.
