My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💎 DIAMOND 💎 is a senior Yorkie, estimated 8-10 years old, who arrived in rough shape. She was missing hair overall, had mammary tumors, needed a spay, had rotten teeth, and poor vision. However, once she had surgery and recovered, she made a complete turnaround!!

She is VERY peppy and active, and Diamond is so playful that you forget she's a senior! 😲 This girl is tiny but mighty! She may not see much at all, but she is ALL HEART! She is currently being treated for heartworms, and we will continue that care even after she's adopted.

Diamond has been fully vetted, and she's ready to go up for adoption!! If you're looking for a tiny senior with TONS of sugar and spice and all the things nice, you gotta adopt her!

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
