My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Puppacino, an adorable pup with a heart as big as her puppy dog eyes. Dumped at a shelter with her five siblings, this sweet girl is ready to make up lost time. Under three months old, Puppacino adores affection, balls, and laps. She's eager to learn basic training with her new family, thriving on love and praise. Puppacino's sociable nature shines bright; she gets along famously with other dogs and children. A recent trip to the Downtown Square saw her charming kids and adults, reveling in playtime and making new friends effortlessly. After a day of adventure, Puppacino and her furry pals happily crash in a pile, worn out but content. In summary, Puppacino is more than just a cute face; she's a bundle of love and energy waiting to bring joy into your life. With her sweet disposition, love for play, and knack for making friends, Puppacino will become the heart and soul of your family in no time

If you are interested in adopting from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://records.georgetown.org/Forms/AdoptApp . Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions

The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates).

Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*.

The adoption fee includes:

spaying/neutering
vaccinations (appropriate to species and age)
heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age)
de-worming medication
microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly)

There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.

Please visit our website for more information on how to adopt, special events, adoption application, educational and volunteer information.
