REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER: Waylon in an inside/outside dog that is crate trained and house trained. He walks very well on the leash and knows the sit, stay and down commands. He’s friendly toward other animals and people and previously lived with respectful children. He has a medium energy level and enjoys playing with toys and fetch. He previously lived with another dog, two cats and a hamster and got along well with them well. Loves to give hugs and get butt scritches. He loves going to mountains, lakes and parks. He’s such a good dog; loyal and very loving - they were heartbroken to surrender him.
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Waylon is a shy fellow that appreciates a slow approach. He warms up quickly once he has met you. A home with older, dog savvy children is recommended. He has been in our doggy play groups and feels the same way about dogs that he feels about people, slow and steady. Waylon use to live with a cat and could do so again. He knows the “sit” and “shake” commands and is also very treat motivated. Waylon is an explorer and would be a good hiking buddy.
