My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flynn is a young puppy working on potty training, sit, learning to walk on a leash, and giving paw. As a puppy he’ll need training to continue to learn and he is very smart. He is a little cuddle bug that loves belly rubs. He gives the best hugs! He wraps his head and neck around his foster mom’s neck and hugs tight. He is currently in the Tampa area. He does have a vocal streak (not yippy but talks to you) and lets you know when he wants attention, so apartment living is not suited to this pup. This dog needs a yard to play and run in with his people or another dog. He needs to be active and given something to do to occupy him (not a farm herding or sport prospect). He settles well in his crate and travels in a car well. He is smart and has learned how to climb out of his ex-pen and over a baby gate in 1 week when he wants to be with his people or is just bored. He has moderate energy, is a follower not a leader of the pack and will make a great pet! He’s been introduced to dogs at his foster home and get along well , but will need a supervised intro to anyone’s cats as he just wants to play and pounce in true puppy fashion.. He is just a baby full of joy!!!!He’s a super happy go lucky puppy! He is not yet neutered.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
