My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.

Emmie came to us about ready to have babies.  She was living with a homeless guy in his car for 5 months.  With a ton of heartache, none of her 14 huge babies survived.  They had a great dane daddy. We knew she was thin but once all the babies were out of her, we discovered that she was completely emaciated! She still needs to gain a little more weight but is well on track now.
It's now time for Emmie to be someone's beloved girl for the rest of her life!  She is affectionate, lovable, good energy, loves to play fetch!  We understand that she's always been an only pet so we want that for her future.  We were told she doesn't like other female dogs but think she only liked the boys because she was in heat.  The nice thing is that dogs on the other side of the fence or passing by them on leash brings no aggressive reaction from her.  We will continue to assess her likes and dislikes while with us until her wonderful new family comes along.  We are hoping that will be sooner than later, she deserves it after going through so much neglect and tragedy.
Her new family must be homeowners with a securely fenced yard, no exceptions.  If renting, you should be very well established at the home and make sure your landlord is ok with her breed living there.

Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.

More about this rescue

We are a compassionate group of volunteers that rescue dogs mostly from shelters when their time is up or when they are at capacity and will have to euthanize adoptable pets. We get many different breeds both pure bred and mixes, from very tiny to very large.
We believe every adoptable animals should have a 2nd chance at a great life. We seek commited, equally passionate adopters to provide a wonderful, loving home to our dogs!
We also believe spaying & neutering is the answer to the homeless animal population along with education.
