My name is Mcgee!

Found this handsome guy near VCU campus in the rain with no collar. He was drenched and his paws were hurt from walking so much. I ended up taking him to the SPCA and they said he isn’t chipped and isn’t neutered so they can’t take him. I took him to a care shelter but they said if we drop him off and he isn’t picked up or adopted in six days then they have to put him down.

He is pretty low maintenance but I’m pretty sure he was abused because he doesn’t like sudden movements. He used to growl at me but now he understands I’m trying to help him. He needs a fenced in yard to run in. He’s potty trained and well taken care of health wise. Not sure of his age but I’m going to take him to the vet. Looking for someone who is patient and understanding that he might’ve not come from a good home. He is super loving, full of character, loves walks, loves marking every tree, and is super funny. I would keep him but I just put a dog down last week and my heart isn’t ready.
