Meet Miracle Mia!

Mia's journey began in a Kentucky shelter, where she arrived pregnant and hopeful. Despite the challenges, she gave birth to her puppies with love and care. Sadly, Mia watched as each of her babies found homes, leaving her behind.

Forgotten and overlooked, Mia's days stretched on until LPC intervened, pulling her from the shelter and offering her a second chance at life. Mia's resilience truly shone when she survived a life-threatening ordeal after complications from a spay, earning her the endearing title of Miracle Mia.

But Mia's miracle doesn't stop there. She's not just a survivor; she's a sweetheart through and through. Her gentle, loving nature knows no bounds, and she's quick to shower anyone she meets with affection and kisses.

Submit Application

Anyone interested in adopting one of our dogs can submit an adoption application at: https://www.lexpitcrew.org/adopt

2.
Interview

Our Adoptions team will confirm homeownership or call for landlord approval, call for a vet reference, and call 1-2 personal references.

3.
Home Check

A member of our home visits team will come by for 10-15 min to make sure there aren’t any safety concerns and get to know the applicant.

Approve Application

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet with the approved applicant(s) and any current pets is required.

6.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is due the day an approved applicant starts their 2-week adoption trial.

Applications are processed in the order they are completed, but we do not approve on a first come, first served basis. Our goal is to find the best fit for every individual dog.

Lexington Pit Crew aims to inform and educate the public about breeds often unfairly labeled as vicious and dangerous. Our goal is to build a positive reputation for dogs that might otherwise be deemed unadoptable solely based on their breed. Over the past eight years, LPC has rescued thousands of dogs. This success is a team effort, driven by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers have families, paying jobs, and various other responsibilities, yet they choose to volunteer because they are passionate about our cause. They give their time because they value the lives of the defenseless animals we fight for every day.
