My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Owen. I was a stray that was brought in and vetted by an independent rescuer. I tested positive for FIV. Which means I'll have a harder time fighting off infections. It isn't expected to affect my quality or length of life. But I may require more vet visits in the future. There has been more research done & I am able to be around cat friendly cats as I'm not dominant or aggressive. The chance of transmission is minimal but definitely talk to your vet for their advice. The good samaritan loved me but wanted me to have the chance of a forever home of my own. I'm a chill guy that is reserved. I love to be pet and am quite the couch potato. I need a little extra TLC to help booster my confidence to come out of my shell.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned, neglected, stray and surrendered dogs and cats. Until they are adopted, the pets in our program live in loving foster homes as part of the family while we learn about their personalities, behaviors and temperaments. Foster families work with their animals to teach them good manners, care for any medical problems, and address any behavior issues. This information helps our adoption counselors match the perfect pet for you and your family.
