My name is Brookwood!

Hello, I'm Brookwood! I'm a male, medium-haired orange tabby with an estimated DOB of 4/21/19. I prefer a slow introduction to new humans, but once I am reassured that you are friendly, I relax and show you what a sweet boy I am. I am a "go with the flow" kind of guy and a little quiet in my demeanor. I enjoy being petted, brushed, and sitting in a comfy lap. I find all the individual attention soothing, and since I didn't get much of it growing up, I am truly enjoying it now. I am a true lover in the making with hopefully lots of snuggle-time in my future. I grew up with lots of other kitties in a small home, so I should be fine in a home with other cats. My friend Belvedere likes to join me when getting attention, and we like to bump heads together and rub each other. I will still need patience and a gradual introduction with any new environment or with other cats. I am learning to be more comfortable around noises and daily activity, and I tend to sit back and assess things first. I would feel most at ease in a calm home, preferably with older understanding kids. I have shown some interest in wiggly wand toys and I'm more than willing to improve my catching skills with gentle play sessions. I am enjoying ample food at my disposal now, as I needed to put on a little weight when I arrived at Wild Blue. Wet food with a bit of added water is pretty tasty! My recent dental exam took care of my needs, and my teeth are now all shiny and plaque-free.
