Their adoption process
We are all volunteers and have busy lives. Please allow 2-3 business days for a reply to your inquiry. FAILURE TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY WILL DELAY PROCESSING.
The adoption is NOT FINAL until the animal is spayed/neutered. A refundable deposit of $100.00 for dogs ($50 for cats) will be collected at time of adoption and returned when the pet has been spayed or neutered.
The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, core vaccinations, including rabies, and a microchip.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Visit www.ASVTexas.org and select “Adoption Application”.
- Approve Application
- ASVT checks veterinarian references and confirms rental agreements and deposits.
- Meet the Pet
- The foster family will be in contact to arrange a meet and greet.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay Fee
- $250.00-$400.00 for dogs, $75.00-$125.00 for cats. ASVT accepts cash, check or credit cards through our PayPal account.
- Take the Pet Home
Go meet their pets
All of our animals are in foster homes. Please complete an adoption application, which can be found at www.ASVTexas.org. The application will be reviewed and if approved, we will forward it to the foster family and ask them to contact you to set up a meet and greet.
