My name is Rusty!

I found “Rusty” on 3/21/24 wandering as a stray in Cobb, California (Lake County) He was covered in ticks and had been wandering for 1-2 weeks. Multiple people had attempted to catch him in that time with no luck. There were sightings on Rusty 2-5 miles from where I found him. He was starving and absolutely exhausted. His front dewclaws were ripped off completely, most likely due to the rugged terrain he had been wandering through. It took me 15-20 minutes of sitting on the ground trying to earn his trust before I could loop him. At the time, I didn’t know I had come across such an amazing loving dog. I took Rusty home and got him in the bathtub where he laid down and almost fell asleep in the warm water. Rusty is amazing with children, cats, and other dogs. He would do great with pretty much any adopter. He is so loyal and eager to please.
