My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:3/28/2021

Description:

Pebbles is a sweet gentle girl who is big and tall weighing 14lbs. She isn’t your typical Tortoiseshell cat that are known to have tortitude, I’m guessing since she was born in the rescue and has been loved ever since. She knows her name, has a sweet little voice and will respond when you talk to her. I pick her up all the time and carry her like baby. She loves pets but likes to smell your hand first especially when meeting new people. When she runs after toys sometimes she will do a somersault at the end and it’s so funny to see. She is a great cat and I would adopt her myself if I didn’t have other cats. She will make someone very happy who just wants a single cat to love as Pebbles doesn’t care for other cats.

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, calm, gentle

Favorite Place to Sleep: In a warm window or a cat tree

Favorite Toy: Cat dancer interactive toy, wand toys

Kitty's Likes: Chin scratches, neck rubs, back scratches

Kitty's Dislikes: NA

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: I don’t hear her purring much but will knead a fuzzy blanket and purr

Favorite Treat: Doesn’t really like treats except she does like Feline Greenies dental treats oven-roasted chicken flavor. Sometimes she will eat a temptation treat but normally not interested, she won’t eat Churu’s or squeeze up treats.

Other Info: She is a tall, big cat so needs a big high sided litter box.

  • Good with Cats: Does not care for cats.

  • Good with Dogs: Prefers a home without dogs.

  • Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 8.

  • Companion Animal: Not necessary.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Pebbles is FIV positive which is not contagious to other cats.  FIV positive cats live with FIV negative cats.         Learn more about FIV       .

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
