My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie is the SWEETEST girl ever! She will make a great companion for an at home family or someone who will take her with them!  Sophie loves going outside in the yard and getting exercise, walks well on a leash, and comes to the door when she is called.

Sophies vision is limited

("seeing shadows),   but that

has not stopped her from

exploring  and having fun!

If it's dark, she follows  detailed

vocal cues and doesn't mind

getting a boost up/down from

higher locations.

Age: 10

Breed: Maltese/Bichon Frise

Weight: 13 lbs

Kid-friendly: LOVES kids!

Would do great with kids

of all age.

Dogs: Does great

(shares space well,  does

not get protective of her

f ood/space)

Cats: Does great

(shares space well,

does not get protective of

her food/space)

Crate trained:  Sophie has not

been kenneled   (as there has not

been a need for it, as  someone is

usually home or Sophie goes with).

Sophie travels great in the car and

on airplanes.

Potty trained: Fully Trained; has

had no   accidents and uses the

bathroom when let outside.

Health concerns:  Sophie has

a mass,   she was seen at a vet

and the veterinarian  is not

concerned about the mass and an

adopter can choose to remove it

in the future.

Veterinarian recommends a

dental in the future-- in which

the mass can be removed, as well.

Her heartworm test was negative.

Current medications & estimated

costs:   None

Adoption fee: $375

As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)

Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.

Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
