My name is Maverick!

Maverick was rescued from a county shelter on the euthanasia list for behavioral issues and kennel aggression at the end of February ‘24. Once out of the kennel, he is the sweetest cuddliest boy. Unfortunately he is very protective, where others cannot approach him while on leash. Some strict training would help with that. But he is now showing aggression to our small cat who is 1/10th his size. Both cats were not an issue up to this point, but I cannot stand to see anything happen to any of the animals. Maverick needs persistent patience and undivided attention. He is very energetic and goes for 1.5 mi walk every morning and leash free sprints every night.
