Meet Scruff and Angel, a delightful pair of bonded ShihTzus. Both of these pets are 8 years old
Scruff (black and white) is a 12 lb sweet, playful boy who loves toys, ear scratches and time outside. Angel (black) is a 9 lb cuddly girl who enjoys snoozing in laps, playing fetch, and snuggles. Together with their endearing personalities, these two pups capture the hearts of everyone they meet. From their playful antics to their loving snuggles, Scruff and Angel exemplify the true meaning of companionship. Their presence brings warmth and joy to their foster family.
Both are believed to be about 8 years old and have recently been spayed/neutered. Angel is recovering from surgical repair of a hernia, polyp removal, and a full dental. They are both healing well and ready to find their forever family, together. Their adoption fee for the pair is $400

We have an online adoption application and this starts our process. Locally, we meet the adopter after approving the application to make sure everyone is compatible. For a long distance application to be approved, we rely heavily on a history of past pet care as verified by a veterinarian. Our adoption agreement states that the animal will be treated as a family member, given all necessary wellness care and emergency care and that if you are no longer able to care for the pet, you will notify the director of Real Good Dog Rescue about your need to rehome the pet.

More about this rescue
We are an all volunteer rescue organization with NO physical facility. We depend on individuals to foster the dogs in their home. The rescue was started by a native Memphian who wanted to do as much as possible to reduce the number of fine pets euthanized annually at our high kill Memphis Animal Shelter. Over the past ten years, we have accepted a lot more found dogs and owner surrendered pets that never had to go to a shelter. We accept what we feel we can live with and find homes for. We can't do nearly enough until spay/neuter laws and responsible pet owners outnumber the irresponsible pet owners.
