ADDIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Addie          Best Guess for Breed:  Lab and pointer mix

Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of May 2024      SEX:  Female

Approximate Weight: 50 lbs

Gets Along With  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but she can be tested.

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here!

Addie is Looking For:   Her forever home! Through no fault of her own, this sweetie now needs a new home. She's in her prime as a young adult dog and eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures they can dream up. More than that, though, she's dreaming of being well-loved and safe and under her own roof for all her days.

She has so much to offer - adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship. Can you see her by (or on) your lap and in your life?

Addie would prefer a home without cats.

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
