Name: WarrenBest Guess for Breed:Shepherd and retriever mix
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of May 2024SEX: Male
Approximate Weight:42 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested
Currently Living at:South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here
Warren is Looking For: His forever home! Through no fault of his own, this handsome boy ended up in the shelter. He may look distinguished and wise with that white around his snoot, but he's actually a young'un and is full of that awesome youthful energy. He's eager to have his own humans to trot alongside on sniffy walks, romps in local parks, and all the adventures they can dream up! Exploring all the toys sounds great too, as well as some delicious kibble and a cushy dog bed.
Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, cuddles, and loyalty for all his days.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
