My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arctic is just stunning and those eyes so full of love. She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 45 pounds.

Arctic is such a cuddle bug, she is just so excited to be with you and touching you! She is all loose and wiggly too, she is a happy girl for sure. You need to be a little careful because she is right under foot, only wanting to be by you. This little sneakster also wants to crawl right up in your lap and is always hoping for a belly rub, her favorite thing. Arctic loves to play fetch with toys, then she brings them back to you with a nice release, and has a solid sit, what a good girl. She does need a little work on jumping up for attention, a basic manners course would be wonderful for her. She can also be a little fearful and looks to you for comfort. Arctic needs an experienced adopter who can provide leadership, which she is looking for and structure. Her new family should also understand the mental and physical needs of the working breeds. She will need an active home with a fenced in yard for her to have room to run and where any children are at least 8 years old. Artic will also need a home with no chickens, turkeys and such.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Arctic would love to meet them. She is a bit apprehensive at first, but with time did warm up with some play and kept checking in with her handler. She would really benefit from some positive dog to dog interactions, she seems insecure with them right now.

If you are interested in Arctic and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*
