My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Capone came to us with his 4 siblings and is built to be an agility rockstar! He loves to play with friends in the yard, chasing and wrestling. Capone has been a delight in training class as he works on his basic obedience and is a frequent favorite for our volunteers to take on outings! This long-legged fellow would love romps on the beach and would do well with a dog companion in the home to keep him company.

Additional adoption info

To confirm an animal's location, please call the shelter 409-833-0504 to ask if an animal is at the shelter or in foster care. We work really hard to ensure each pet goes into a home that is the best fit for them and the new family. This is why a session with a Matchmaker is required. Adoptions are on a first approved basis.

More about this shelter

Originally formed as the Humane Educational Council of Southeast Texas in 1962, the primary focus was to educate the public on animal care and compassion. In 1981, our name changed to Humane Society of Southeast Texas (HSSET) but our goals and values remain the same. HSSET is devoted to building a better community for both pets and people through education programs and setting a new standard for companion animal care.
The HSSET is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization run entirely on grants, donor contributions, community volunteers, and a lot of love.
Our shelter is a limited intake no-kill facility serving not only the City of Beaumont, but the entire Southeast Texas region.
