Holly Grace—it is her time to shine! This girl has one of the easiest, gentlest, laid-back, and sweetest personalities! Holly came to rescue pregnant after she and several other Pyrs were abandoned at a farm. She has raised her puppies, and oh what a good mama she was! Holly has exceptional leash manners and loves to show them off with long walks, especially thru the woods. Her favorite thing is to accompany her foster mom and the other dogs when they go out to feed the horses. She is fully house broken, crate trained, and will climb right into the vehicle when asked. Holly is a mix, but she has the Pyr personality in her demeanor as she is chill, takes it all in, and enjoys hanging out keeping an eye on her property to warn off any intruders. As all good Pyrs do, Holly will alert her family to new people, but with good introductions she warms up. Holly truly loves nature and would enjoy a home with a big, fenced yard, plenty of shade trees, and a little privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Holly soaks up the attention from her people, adoring rubs, brushing, talking to her, and just being with you. She also knows “sit,” will come when called, and especially enjoys showing off when treats are involved! Once you are in Holly’s world she will be devoted for life—her eyes speak volumes! Holly is great with her canine foster siblings (big and medium-sized) and will engage them in easy play with a play bow! She requires another dog or two in her new home as she thoroughly enjoys their company. Do you relish long walks, hiking, or simply hanging out around the house doing yard work, or lazing around and looking for a new best friend to join you? Look no further—Holly Grace may be your girl!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
