My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Dear Readers,
Allow me to introduce you to a delightful creature seeking companionship and cuddles: Pen. She's a charming 20-pound female heeler mix, fully matured at a mere 2-3 years of age. Picture her nestled on a couch, the perfect size for cuddling, her eyes beseeching for your undivided attention.
Pen is a true connoisseur of affection, reveling in every moment spent with her beloved family. She's not one for frivolous dalliances with other dogs; no, Pen desires to be the sole recipient of your adoration.
In her current abode, Pen shares space with both felines and children. However, her foster caretaker believes she'd thrive best in a tranquil environment among adults, sans other furry companions. You see, Pen possesses a certain apprehension around youngsters, and her heeler instincts may not always align with the decorum expected in a household with cats or small critters.
But fear not, dear readers, for Pen is a quick study. She's learning that her crate can serve as a sanctuary, a place where she can retreat when the world feels overwhelming. Nighttime sees her quiet and content, though her heart yearns for the warmth of a human bed.
Remarkably, Pen is a virtuoso in the art of potty training, having left not a single mess in her foster domain. Her vocalizations are but gentle murmurs, a soft plea for closeness, easily pacified as she settles into her cozy retreat.
What Pen truly longs for is a family committed to her growth and confidence. Are you the one she seeks? Could you be her perfect match? If so, waste no time. Apply to meet Pen today and let the dance of companionship begin.
