My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Buddy my mom got really sick and couldn't care for me anymore so Miss Holly told her she would look out for me and find me someone who would love me like she did I am a very good boy you just need to teach me the ropes and I am a very good boy in the house. Word to the wise I am very anxious and can't be left by myself it's to stressful for me and I HATE crates. I love chilling on the couch and hanging wherever you are in the house. I am an absolute love bug I love all my family even the grumpy cat!

I would be best in a home with no kids and someone who works from home or retired because I can't be left alone it's to scary for me. I have a couple of health problems but they are really no big deal I have a heart murmur and diabetes I take a 2 pills and 2 shots a day doc says no reason I can't live to a ripe old age I am only 8 so I am still young I am about 8 to 10 pounds if you need a relaxed chill guy who rarely barks. I am it.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
