My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miley and her sister Bessie, came to Abbeycats via another rescue organization in northern Ontario. They were found together in someone's backyard at approximately 11 weeks. Initially they stayed with that family who was hoping to help them find a home, but eventually they were surrendered to another rescue organization. After about 6 months in a foster home, these two sweet ladies still hadn't found their forever family, and headed south to the GTA to try their luck with Abbeycats.

Miley is an always sweet, sometimes chatty, clever, cuddly sweetheart, who loves kisses (on the lips) and scratches above her tail. In fact, she loves them so much, her little grey tuxedo is getting a bit thin back there!

Miley and Bessie are both very clever, they enjoy building blanket forts together and cuddling with each other in them. When they first arrived at their current foster home, their foster mom didn't know about their propensity for making blanket forts, and panicked when she couldn't find them. Boy, was she ever surprised when she realized they had pulled their favourite blanket over the bedframe so they could camp out under it!

Miley is slightly more confident approaching humans than her sister at first; but both girls won't hesitate to come snuggle with a calm human.

They are currently living in a foster home with three women and one, cat-savvy 8-year-old, as well as 3 family cats, and two dogs. They get along great with all of the humans and animals, and often sneak into the 8-year-old's room at night for sleep snuggs.

Miley and Bessie don't know their names, but they do come running if they smell an open tube of kitty meat goop.

They both have a tendency to startle with loud noises and run for cover (in their blanket fort), so although they would really enjoy living with a respectful, small human, their forever home will need to be a non-yelly one.

They don't need very much space to roam around, but they do enjoy sitting at the window and spying on the neighbours. They like to be the deputized neighborhood watch committee or just be cuddled up on the couch with their people.
