Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buster is a mixed-breed pup with a heart of gold and a love for life. He adores other dogs and is learning to live with and communicate boundaries with two older dogs in his foster home. He is cool with cats, though slow introductions are always best. While energetic and loves to play, Buster also has hip dysplasia. Don't worry, though! His pain is managed with supplements and occasional meds, so he can still enjoy walks, cuddles, and even a good romp in the yard. Buster's ideal home would be with adults or older kids(12+) who understand that he might react if his hips get bumped. Buster has some resource guarding issues which his adopter needs to commit to working on - pick up anything that you don't want him to have for starters! As an adolescent dog, he's also working on his manners (sometimes he jumps up to say hi and has a bit of a poop-eating habit – hey, nobody's perfect!), but he's a quick learner and eager to please. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who's always up for an adventure, look no further!
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
