Put your paws up for Lucy Lu!
Lucy Lu is believed to be a 1.5-year-old female Great Pyrenees, mixed with Labrador Retriever. Given Lucy's LOVE for water, we might be on point with her being a Lab mix...because typically Great Pyrenees HATE the thought of getting their glorious white coats wet. Now muddy....oh absolutely! But taking dives in the pool and swimming around on a daily basis...not so much! Lucy Lu is at that perfect age where she is not too young that she needs a whole bunch of training but she also isn't too old to learn new tricks if you want to introduce and expose her to new things. Lucy is always up for experiencing new things, especially if her family is there!
Yep, Lucy Lu is no couch bum. She doesn't spend her days giving you the side eye because you interrupted her nap to make her go outside or on a walk. Nope, this girl loves to have fun! Be it a walk, a hike, some zoomies in the yard, wrestling with the other dogs, pouncing on toys, or running around with the kids...Lucy Lu will be your do-it-all all partner! I know your next thought is probably "Well, I am not prepared for a super energetic dog". Well, don't worry because neither am I! I love the dogs that enjoy having fun and spending time with me, but also know how to just chill and relax...and that my friends...is Lucy! She has a love for adventure and fun, but she also loves cuddle time on the couch, naps, and just hanging out with her people while they read a book or enjoy a nice leisurely evening outside.
Lucy Lu is a social butterfly. She does amazing with other dogs, cats, and kids. She even loves meeting new people and getting to show off her silly smiles, grins, and faces! Now, like any great dog...Lucy is loyal and that means sometimes she may need a little time to get used to new people but once she does...trust me...you will have a friend for life. And not just a friend who checks in with you here and there...or a friend who is boring and wants to nap all day, but a friend who will encourage you to go on adventures, curl up close to you every night for movie/show time, and keep you smiling and laughing for years to come!
Lucy also has amazing house manners. You won't have to worry about her leaving messes for you to find later, chewing up your designer shoes or purse(which should probably still be put up if you are going to invest that much money in them ;) ), or leaving some... let's say...artistic expressions on your furniture. Nope. Miss Lucy is potty trained, sticks to chewing on her toys, and can be trusted to free-roam the house. Now, what you will have to worry about is her fur claiming every single inch of your home...but if you ask me...that is a small price to pay for a pup who will bring so much love, laughter, and life into your home! <3
Lucy would love love love having a doggie playmate in her home, kids to play with, and even a cat to hang out with sometimes(don't tell her doggie friends). She loves being part of all her family's activities....be it swimming...walks...or even napping! Lucy would also do amazing as an only dog if her new person was home most of the day and looking for someone to be their best friend!
It truly doesn't get better than Lucy. From her personality to her amazing and too-cute-for-words smiles/grins, to her love for water, and literally always being ready to dive into new things...this girl is someone you do not want to miss out on.

We are a small foster based rescue located in Southeastern Oklahoma who rescue all through the state. We rescue any big fluffy breed and their mixes if we have the room. All our dogs are fully vetted, micro-chipped, spayed/neutered, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prev.
