Please welcome Rocky to Sky Sanctuary! Rocky found his way into rescue when one of our previous adopters purchased him off of a homeless man in order to provide him with the love and care that he so desperately needed and was clearly not getting. Skinny and afraid, she carefully loosened the twine "leash" from around his neck, paid the man and they were on their way to a better future. When our adopter reached out asking for help and agreeing to foster, we knew we had to help! We were so pleasantly surprised when we met Rocky. He's not your average puppy. At about 4 months old, and much smaller than he appears in pictures, Rocky came into the sanctuary like such a little gentleman! As we began taking photos of him, he sat calmly and observed his surroundings. Rocky is a Pitbull mix and is just as sweet as can be! Adoption fees vary between $165-$350. That includes all medical vetting, UTD vaccines, spay/neuter, lifetime microchip, an escape proof harness lead and collar & tag. Also, since some our dogs are such a huge flight risk, there may be additional steps needing to happen before the adoption is completed.

We are a small group of passionate animal advocates that specialize in the humane capture and rescue of stray, fearful and injured animals from the streets of Maricopa County. We also assist pet owners as well as other rescue groups to recover their lost animals. We provide our dogs with a safe place to decompress, learn to trust and receive medical treatment until they are ready to find a forever home. The dogs that we take in are typically more difficult to place due to being fearful and high flight risks. Our animals require special adopters who are patient, diligent and very precautionary in order to keep our "trap dogs" safe. These animals are our passion and we will always do what is best for every animal that crosses our path.
