Salutations, my name is Quinby and I am 57 pounds of awesome. I was a stray at MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) and hopped aboard a transport heading to WCHS. I have had a chance to look around a bit and meet some of the folks in this neck of the woods and I am sure I made the right decision; I am going to love it in Washington County. I am a cheerful guy who thoroughly loves going on walks with humans; although I must confess, I am not perfect on a leash. I try to walk politely but cannot help myself and pull a bit when I see something interesting that I want to get to. I also have a tendency to crisscross a bit in front of you when we are walking along. I make a point of completely enjoying my time outside with you and absorb all the fabulous smells; I stop to munch on the tasty dewy grass too. I am friendly, playful and active; some even call me hyper. To help burn some energy it would be lovely if you could give me a job or two. Perhaps we can practice obedience or rally, participate in canine sports like agility or learn fun skills like nose work. I am very smart and already know the cues for ‘sit', ‘down' and ‘shake/paw'; although sometimes mistake ‘sit' for ‘jump up on the nice human and say hi' when there is a treat on the line - I just get so excited. I am an affectionate lad; a lover boy at heart. I love to spend time with people and it is phenomenal when I am getting tender scratches and cuddles. It would be lovely to snuggle with you on the couch at the end of the day after exercise and playtime. I promise to be loyal to you forever and work very hard to make you proud. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
