My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Caramel!

Are young little love bug ... she loves to cuddle up and be close with you. She loves to go on walks and adventures.

Caramel came to us as a stray, so we don't have much history on her. However, our first impressions are that she is a real sweetheart and is full of energy, ready to get out and go!

She has not had much training and needs to learn some manners, though she is quite eager do so. She does know how to sit, so that is a good start and a great place to build of from.

Caramel loves to have pets and belly rubs and is an overall happy-go-lucky girl, waiting to meet her right match!

Come to the Parksville SPCA Branch to meet this lovely little lady Tuesday - Saturday between 12 - 4.

To arrange a meet and greet, please contact the Parksville Branch at 250-248-3811 or email parksville@spca.bc.ca

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
