My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I have potential behavioral challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me

Due to prior owner history, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced cat parent home

A volunteer writes: Whiskey purrs at the drop of a hat and his happy purrs are like hearing a hug in the shelter. Sitting at the front of his condo with his eyes half closed, he purrs at everyone in his quietly encouraging and loving way. Whiskey's just happy to be here and wants everyone to know that things are going to be okay. When he's not sitting at the front of his condo, gazing out at Adoptions and purring, he can be found doing his gymnastics routine. Whiskey loves to roll around and cheerfully stretch his little toes, but he always seems ready to pause at a moment's notice for visitors. It's no surprise he loves all affection. Cuddles, rolls, cheek rubs, neck scritches, headbutts, he's been practicing all as he waits to meet you! While Whiskey has been pure sunshine for us, things before coming to the Care Center weren't quite so easy for him. He's looking for a fresh start with a forever family who will appreciate all the love and purrs he brings to the table.

Additional adoption info

Adoption counselors and volunteers will be on-site to guide you through every step of the adoption process. The adoption process includes filling out an application, having a counseling session, and interacting with the animal you are interested in adopting. You may need to set aside several hours to complete the entire process of interaction and adopting a pet.

At this time, we have kittens (when available), cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and large dogs available for adoption browsing. Small dogs are available by appointment only.

To adopt an animal, you will need a valid photo ID, be 18 years of age or older, and bring proof of current address such as a utility bill.

We look forward to meeting you at the shelter!
