My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jazzy, the aspiring supermodel with a heart of gold, is on a mission to find her forever family. At just 2 years young, she's already mastered the art of charm and charisma, ready to captivate the hearts of her future adopters. Resilient and full of love, Jazzy's journey hasn't been without its challenges. Despite experiencing financial hardships in her previous home, she remains steadfast in her quest for love and companionship. With each wag of her tail, she exudes warmth and affection, eager to please her potential new family. This delightful girl is not just a pretty face - she's also incredibly smart and eager to learn. From sitting politely to lying down with grace, Jazzy is a quick study. And when it comes to walks, she's a decent leash companion, strutting her stuff with confidence. But Jazzy's true joy lies in the simple pleasures of life - a gentle scratch behind the ears or a belly rub sends her into a state of bliss. And don't even get her started on squeaky toys - they're her kryptonite, her ultimate weakness. With a twinkle in her eye, she'll do just about anything for a new squeaker to add to her collection. While Jazzy shines brightly on her own, she thrives best in a home where she can be the center of attention. As an only pet, she can bask in all the love and affection her heart desires. And though she may not be the biggest fan of other animals, her capacity for love knows no bounds when it comes to her human companions. Currently residing in Texas, Jazzy is ready to spread her wings and find her forever home. And with a little help from her friends, she's hopeful that her dream will soon become a reality. So if you're ready to open your heart to a furry friend who promises to fill your days with joy and laughter, look no further than Jazzy. To begin the adoption process, simply fill out the application attached below. And if you're feeling extra generous, consider donating to Jazzy's squeaky toy addiction - every little bit helps to keep her tail wagging with delight.

Home Check

Once we complete a Zillow and review Property Tax sites, we make arrangements for home check or Facetime of the property.

4.

Meet the Pet

We are a Matchmaker then people picking a pup, so once all of the above is done, we do a Facetime with several potential dogs.

5.

Approve Application

We are very diligent in the approval process but once all of our criteria is met, we send an e-mail notifying them of adoption approval.

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

They choose the dog they want, sign the contract, pay donation and we arrange for them to pick up the dog, transport.

Additional adoption info

We are looking for the right dog to go to the right home based on the information they provide to us on their application as well as the phone interview. Since we deal with large breed dogs only, there are times when we do not have the right match and we will refer them to a partner rescue.

Go meet their pets

At the present time, we do not have a facility to have adoption events at our Texas location. We are in the process of purchasing our own property and once that is complete, we will hold adoption events. We are also dealing with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

Animal House Project is a 501 c3 Nonprofit organization that operates several programs under our umbrella: a companion pet food pantry in the hopes to keep companion pets at home and out of shelters; a rescue pet food pantry - providing donated pet food to grass root small rescues who are struggling; low cost spay and neuter; and, a Large Breed Rescue.

The Rescue has been a passion of our Board President for many years and, in 2021, after seeing many large breed dogs being put down, the time had come to open the program. Our primary breed is Akitas, but we have also rescued Chows, Pyrenees and mixes.
