Gunnar is about 12 years old. He’s a mild-mannered boy and kind of an aloof. He was previously adopted out from us back in 2016 and is being returned due to the owners health.
He is great with dogs and cats. If the cats run, he will chase them to play.
He is good with kids if they approach respectfully. He is housebroken and crate trained but can be left without being in a crate with no destruction. He can get nervous with storms and fireworks but not too bad.
He is bell trained to go outside for potty
He does okay on the leash unless there is a moving vehicle, then he will pull and circle after his tail. Moving vehicles seem to be a trigger for nervousness.
Routine for him:
Wake up, and he goes for a 20-minute morning walk. After his walk, he will eat breakfast. His current owner is usually gone 5 hours a day, and on occasion, it's been 8 hours. He does well with no issues in the house. He will get a walk around lunchtime. Dinner is after work and put his kibble in a kong to give stimulation. Je will rest a little to digest his food and then the evening walk
Relax and out before bedtime.
He is completely vetted and up to date on vaccines. Negative heartworm and is on monthly prevention.
We are looking for a foster for Gunnar, preferably someone who is home to help with this transition. He came from a very bad situation before joining our rescue, and he deserves the very best and a place to live out the rest of his life in peace.
