Coco and her sister Riley came into rescue from the Memphis Animal Shelter at just over 1lb. each and only 4 weeks old. Despite contracting parvovirus and being exposed to distemper, these tough little pups have made a remarkable recovery since arriving at Paws New England.
Now weighing over 13 lbs. each, Coco and Riley are thriving in foster care. They love hanging out with the other dogs in their foster home, both big and small and enjoy roaming freely during the day. Like typical puppies, they are spunky and full of energy, keeping their foster family on their toes.

🐾 Health: Fully recovered from parvovirus, unaffected by distemper 🐾 Personality: Active and playful 🐾 Training She stays in her crate peacefully during the night and as needed during the day. She is working diligently on house training! 🐶 Other Dogs: Love playing with other dogs, big and small. She also has had positive experiences with a resident cat.

Puppy Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested.
The adoption fee also includes the transport fee.
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?

PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
