My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Sheldon Cooper and just like my TV persona I have lots of interesting personality traits and quirks. I don’t have a Meemaw but my Foster says I have the cutest teddy bear eyes you’ll ever see.

I’m a 8 year old man and was found wandering as a stray. Nobody came for me so I sat at the shelter waiting for a while.

I do play like a puppy and was likely never taught boundaries as a puppy so I am somewhat grabby. If you aren’t paying attention to me, I will come and get your attention. In the beginning of being pulled from the animal shelter I had an event of resource guarding. Since then I have learned and my foster has seen no resource guarding issues at this time. I need to go to an experienced adopter that is willing to work with me to set boundaries and continue to do so.

My foster mom says I’m a really great pup!

I’m going to quote her, she says “Hims a sweet boy.” I play with toys and allow her to pick them up with no issues! I really am just a little mouthy and attention seeking. Which isn’t really annoying but can so I will need some guidance so that can be corrected. My fosters friend has to tuck her long braid in when we play outside cuz I thinks it’s a rope toy. I enjoy snuggles and kisses.

My perfect home would be that I am your one and only. I waited so long for my forever home being 8 years old that I would prefer for you to be retired or work from home.

No dogs, cats or kids, please!

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
