Leo & Ozzy are special brothers! They are both a very handsome Labrador Retriever mix. These adorable boys are super cuddly with the sweetest personalities. Ozzy (red collar) is a little bolder and more adventurous, while Leo (blue collar) likes to stay close and play with his toys. Both boys are super smart and are doing great with crate training. The Vet estimates their birthday to be the end of Jan. They've had age-appropriate vaccines and are ready find their forever homes. Leo and Ozzy can't wait to spend their 1st summer doing all the important things puppies love to do...playing with kiddos, napping in the sun, learning to fetch and capturing hearts ♥ Apply to adopt Ozzy or Leo today!!

Adoption is a four part process.

Application: You will be required to submit general information along with personal and vet references.

Home visit: Potential adopters will receive a home visit by one of our members.

Meet -n- Greet: All family members (fur babies included) must meet the foster parent and pup they wish to adopt.

Here at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, each adoption contribution is a flat rate per dog. We do not adjust this rate based on the "popularity" of a dog. We believe every dog is worthy of an owner that sees the value in them. Each adoption contribution is used to cover the expenses incurred for that dog and other dogs in our program.

Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, INC is located in the quaint town of Gillsville, in the foothills of the Georgia Mountains, just south of Gainesville. Our rescues are fostered in loving homes located in Hall, Jackson, and neighboring counties.

More about this rescue

We are a small canine rescue group located in Northeast Georgia that works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, fully vet, and re-home faithful dogs that have been tossed out of cars onto rural roads. We are a registered, 501c3 tax deductible Non Profit Rescue and we are licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture

All dogs in our program have been previously reported to animal control to ensure they were not lost pups who had a family diligently looking for them. We do not turn a dog away due to breed, health concerns, or age. It is our goal to keep these dogs out of animal shelters, thus saving their lives and providing more time to the dogs already in shelters to find their forever family.
